About the role

The successful applicant will lead the Kaurna Plains Children's Centre, contributing to the educational and developmental outcomes for children aged 0-5 years old. This role involves overseeing the centre’s operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a supportive environment for both staff and children.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre, including curriculum planning and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture among staff and families.
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to enhance teaching practices and child development programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the school administration.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Valid First Aid and Child Protection Certificate.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid First Aid and Child Protection Certificate.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.

Pay

$166,411 per annum Full Time Equivalent (FTE)

Schedule
