About the role
The successful applicant will lead the Kaurna Plains Children's Centre, contributing to the educational and developmental outcomes for children aged 0-5 years old. This role involves overseeing the centre’s operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a supportive environment for both staff and children.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre, including curriculum planning and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture among staff and families.
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to enhance teaching practices and child development programs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the school administration.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
- Valid First Aid and Child Protection Certificate.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid First Aid and Child Protection Certificate.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Skills

Pay
$166,411 per annum Full Time Equivalent (FTE)
Schedule
Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
