About the role

The Director at Cowandilla Children's Centre is responsible for overseeing the centre's operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing leadership to staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cowandilla Children's Centre.
• Ensure all programs and services meet the needs and standards set by the Department for Education.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of care and education provided to children and families.
• Lead a team of educators, support staff, and administrative personnel.
• Collaborate with other departments within the Department for Education to align goals and resources.
• Conduct regular reviews of policies and procedures to ensure they are effective and up-to-date.
• Manage the budget and financial planning for the centre.
• Engage in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
• A proven track record of leading and managing teams effectively.
• A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing early childhood education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in strategic planning and implementation.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working in a similar role within the Department for Education.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
