About the role
The Director at Cowandilla Children's Centre is responsible for overseeing the centre's operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing leadership to staff.Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cowandilla Children's Centre.
- Ensure all programs and services meet the needs and standards set by the Department for Education.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of care and education provided to children and families.
- Lead a team of educators, support staff, and administrative personnel.
- Collaborate with other departments within the Department for Education to align goals and resources.
- Conduct regular reviews of policies and procedures to ensure they are effective and up-to-date.
- Manage the budget and financial planning for the centre.
- Engage in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
- A proven track record of leading and managing teams effectively.
- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in strategic planning and implementation.
Qualifications
- Valid teaching qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in a similar role within the Department for Education.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
