About the role
The Preschool Director is a full-time, on-site role based at Willoway Preschool in Gray, GA.
Responsibilities
- Schedules and staffs the preschool, ensuring a balanced and effective team.
- Collaborates with teachers to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, supports classroom management, and ensures instructional practices align with Willoway’s mission and values.
- Maintains enrollment and records, manages budgets and resources, and builds strong relationships with families and the local community.
- Mentors educators, leads professional development, and works closely with the leadership team to continuously improve program quality and support a positive, inclusive culture.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Early Childhood Education, with knowledge of best practices for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Experience in Curriculum Development for preschool and Kindergarten-age children, including developmentally appropriate, play-based, and enriched learning experiences.
- Competence in Budgeting and basic program administration, including resource allocation, financial planning, and operational oversight.
- Prior leadership experience in an early childhood or school setting, with the ability to coach, mentor, and support a diverse teaching team.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Knowledge of state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and compliance requirements for early childhood programs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate sound judgment, and maintain a calm, solutions-focused approach.
