About This Role

This position is for a Teachers Assistant to work Monday-Friday from 9:00-3:00 with out 18 months to 5 year old students during the school year schedule from August to May.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the implementation of curricula activities including instruction of the English language, to foster communication and early literacy development.
• Share classroom teaching responsibilities as determined by mutual planning between you and your teaching partner.
• Help encourage smooth transitions from home to school and back to home.
• Follow center and DHD policies and Procedures.
• Maintain professional development to include 12 hours of yearly training as required by DHS
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and using out Procare communication app.
• Be able to work well with your classroom partner and age group team.

Requirements

• Must be at least a High School graduate and 21 years of age.
• Must be of the Christian Faith
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to stand for up to 4 hours
• Strong understanding of early childhood development
• Must be a positive team player and work well with others

Nice to Have

• 1-2 years of early childhood experience in a preschool setting
• High energy
• CPR/1st Aid Trained
• Degree or CDA in Early Childhood or a related field
