Join Cub Care Children's Center in Vestal, NY as a Preschool Assistant Teacher working with Preschool (3–5). The role calls for no formal credential — just relevant experience and offers $16 – $16.50/Hr to qualified childcare professionals.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate closely with the Lead Teacher to coordinate activities and ensure seamless execution of lesson plans.
• Prepare and organize high-quality learning materials to meet the needs of our students.
• Support the implementation of weekly lesson plans to help children achieve their learning goals.
• Build on your experience working with children, demonstrating creativity, flexibility, and effective communication skills.
• Provide clear and sensitive communication with families, addressing their concerns and questions.
• Participate actively in regular staff meetings, bringing questions, ideas, and concerns to the group for open discussion.
• Complete required training and coaching annually to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in early childhood education.

Requirements

• Preferred: Associate's degree or Child Development Associate (CDA) certification
• Minimum Requirement: High school diploma and experience working with children aged 2-5
• Full-time position, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
• Health check required
• Fingerprinting required
• Background check required
• Three references required including one from an employer, student teaching supervisor, or volunteer coordinator if possible
• Nice to Have: Previous experience working with children aged 2-5 is highly valued
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not mandatory
