About the role
Assistant teacher needed for a preschool classroom. We are looking for someone who is fun and energetic, while also responsible and detail oriented.
Responsibilities
- Care for preschool age children in a nurturing and supportive environment
- Encourage children to explore and take risks while maintaining control and safety
- Carry out the lesson plans and activities set forth by the lead teacher, and provide input and ideas
- Take children outside on a daily basis
- Provide snack and pack up children’s belongings to return home
- Perform some cleaning duties
Requirements
- Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to take the Fundamentals of Early Childhood Education 45-hour course within the first year of hire
Nice to haves
- Experience and college credits in early childhood education
- CPR/First Aid certification
