About the role
The early years matter—and so do the people who shape them. At Kamaʻāina Kids, you'll do more than supervise a classroom. You'll help children build confidence, discover new skills, and develop a lifelong love of learning in a warm, supportive environment where teachers are valued.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom where every child feels seen and supported
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences
- Encourage social, emotional, language, and cognitive development through play
- Build positive partnerships with families
- Work closely with fellow teachers to create a fun, collaborative classroom environment
Requirements
- Qualified Teachers: 18+ years old, High school diploma or GED, CDA, associate's, or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, 6–12 months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare setting
- Infant & Toddler Caregivers: 18+ years old, High school diploma or GED, 12–24 months of experience working with children under age three in a licensed setting, Required infant/toddler training

Skills
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, No evenings, No weekends, Consistent daytime hours
- Starting Pay: Qualified Teachers: $22–$25/hour DOE, Infant/Toddler Caregivers: $19–$21/hour DOE, Teacher Aides: $17–$18.50/hour
