About the role

Kamaʻāina Kids is seeking caring, energetic Preschool & Toddler Aides to join their team at Hawaii Kai Preschool. Whether you're starting your career in early childhood education or bringing experience with you, they'll provide the support, training, and opportunities to help you thrive.

What You'll Do

  • Create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom where children feel valued.
  • Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through age-appropriate activities.
  • Lead and participate in art projects, music, storytelling, outdoor play, sensory experiences, and hands-on learning.
  • Build positive partnerships with families and coworkers.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Encourage each child's curiosity, confidence, and independence.

Pay & Benefits

  • $17.00–$18.50 per hour (based on qualifications).

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Enjoy working with young children and helping them learn through play.
  • New to childcare? They have entry-level Aide positions available while you complete the requirements to become PATCH qualified, and they'll pay for your CDA certification.
  • For Infant/Toddler Caregivers: 12–24 months of experience caring for children under age 3 in a licensed childcare setting, Infant/Toddler training completed or willingness to obtain it with their support.
  • For Teachers: CDA or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field), 6–12 months of experience in a licensed preschool or childcare program.

Schedule & Locations

  • Monday–Friday Full Time, 8:30-5:30.
