Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of the prepress department, including workflow optimization and cost reduction
- Oversee press check color matching to ensure consistent quality standards
- Configure new artwork to maximize press efficiency and run capability
- Implement and maintain press characterization profiles that accurately define capabilities and match contract proofs
- Monitor and manage plate and sleeve inventory, ensuring timely replacements
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to develop profitable pricing strategies
- Partner with Plant Manager, Production Manager, and customer-facing teams to ensure seamless production workflow
- Supervise, coach, and develop prepress plate mounters and coordinators
- Create and implement performance metrics that drive accountability and excellence
- Lead problem-solving initiatives that address production challenges
- Cultivate a team environment that balances quality standards with productivity goals
- Make timely, effective decisions in a fast-paced production environment
- Analyze production metrics, prepress distortions, ITR calculations, repeat to cutoff and metric to imperial calculations
- Use data to evaluate process performance and support decision-making
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
- 7+ years of comprehensive prepress experience with deep technical knowledge
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
- Strong communication skills and positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field preferred but not required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and lead cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access) and production-related reporting tools
- Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality standards, and continuous improvement tools (5S, MDI, SOC, etc.)
- Proficiency with charts, graphs, and basic forecasting models preferred

Pay
Starting Salary: Wages ranging from $34.00+ per hour, dependent on experience
Schedule
Monday - Friday, Day Shift. Availability to be on-call.
