Prepress Plate Mounter
About the role
Operate state-of-the-art printing presses to deliver high-quality printing and finishing services for film, paper, and specialty materials.
Work alongside 160 employee-owners in a collaborative environment, monitoring production quality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and participating in comprehensive training programs.
Responsibilities
- Translate written and computer-generated layout specifications into plate requirements.
- Prepare plates to be mounted.
- Clean plates if necessary.
- Minor repairs if needed.
- Apply plates properly and using correct materials.
- Properly set up jobs using plate mounters.
- Perform visual inspections of plates and plate components for defects.
- Identify and troubleshoot print issues related to plates, sleeves, and inks.
- Complete required documentation and obtain necessary signatures.
- Filing plates to ensure integrity of the plates and filing system.
- Participate in quality, continuous improvement, and safety initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools.
- Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
Qualifications
- One year of manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Strong time management skills.
- Perform basic math skills.
- Able to obtain accurate geometric measurements with a variety of instruments.
- Strong self-starter who encourages self-motivation.

Pay
Starting Salary: Wages ranging from $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Schedule
Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule. Work: Monday & Tuesday – Off: Wednesday & Thursday – Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Off: Monday & Tuesday – Work: Wednesday & Thursday – Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 12-hour static shifts (Nights - 6:00pm – 6:00am)
