Prepress Operator - 3rd Shift (Prinergy and Preps experience)

What You’ll Do

• Pre-flighting of supplied files and downloading data of supplied media to the server into the appropriate folders for both plate ready and native application files.
• Handle some page layout (Adobe InDesign), color retouching (Adobe Photoshop), PDFs (Adobe Acrobat) and all page imposition (Preps).
• Manage all digital proofing, Epson proofs, Reader Proofs, and all other such proofing devices online.
• Create plate imposition template files, import proper pages for processing, and review/QC impositions.
• Operate digital plate setter, handle rules-ups of out-sheets, and follow through on all directions given by the manager.
• Maintain a positive customer relations approach and handle other duties as assigned by Premedia Manager.

What You’ll Need

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A Technical Degree is highly desirable.
• Two (2) years of Digital Premedia experience with Prinergy, Preps, and Offset Platemaking preferred.
• Proficient in current Adobe software including Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat.
