Prep & Trim Tech - 2nd Shift

About the Role

The Prep & Trim Technician removes and replaces all components as required for paint.

Responsibilities

• Sand entire vehicle or component, painted or unpainted
• Perform minor body work
• Wash entire vehicle or component
• Blowdown, metal prep and condition vehicle or component
• Mask, paper or grease components to be protected from paint
• Prime and paint assemblies or components where a fine finish is not required
• Demask, degrease vehicles or components
• Apply stencils, labels, logos, sandpaint, nonskid etc., as required
• Clean entire vehicle or components of overspray, grease rust-proof, and dirt to ready product for shipment
• Drive vehicle as required into building from station to station and out of building and operate equipment as necessary
• Move parts carts by hand or with forklift
• Rustproof vehicle or components (certification required)

Qualifications

High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Use of simple arithmetic and some measuring instruments such as caliper, scale, etc.
• Manufacturing experience
