Responsibilities

• Reports to work well-groomed, in clean uniform, and practices good personal hygiene.
• Prepares food products according to company standards; uses, maintains, and cleans food preparation surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follows proper receiving, storage, rotating, and food safety/sanitation procedures.
• Monitors and oversees food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce foodborne illness risk factors.
• Anticipates, identifies, and corrects system breakdowns to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Communicates with Manager on Duty or Kitchen Manager and coworkers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, or safety problems.

Requirements

• Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service (taught through in-house training)
• Must be able to communicate clearly

Work Environment

• High level of mobility and flexibility required
• Ability to work irregular hours under heavy stress/pressure during peak times
• High level of coordination required
• Must lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
• Must be able to fit through a 30-inch-wide opening
• Frequent reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors
• Requires continual standing and walking
