Voith Hydro Is Hiring For Prep operator trainee York, PA Summary: We are seeking a prep operator trainee to support North American Hydro division in York PA, In the position you will work on unique one-off components for some of the largest hydroelectric machines in the world. Cutting and rolling various thicknesses and grades of steel. This is a trainee position so all training is on the job training. Responsibilities Basic discipline aptitude/attitude.Operate forklift for moving small components.Perform 15 ton or less overhead crane lifts.Completion of blueprint reading classes.Clean and protect parts.Cutting plate on NC table.Gas and plasma cutting bevels.Grinding parts.Hot forming.Furnace operation. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Education And Experience High school diploma. Physical Requirements Occasional bending and twisting.Able to lift 50 LBS on occasion.Extended lengths of standing or sitting.Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.Must wear all required PPE for job task.
