About the role
Vivent Health is seeking a Specialist, PrEP Navigator to support individuals in accessing and adhering to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive and culturally competent education on the benefits and proper use of PrEP.
- Ensure individuals understand the importance of PrEP as part of their overall sexual health strategy.
- Guide clients through the PrEP enrollment process.
- Collaborate across internal departments (e.g., patient services, medical) to streamline enrollment, initiation, and ongoing PrEP care.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare facilities and providers offering PrEP services.
- Facilitate seamless transitions between testing, PrEP initiation, and follow-up care.
- Provide ongoing support to individuals on PrEP to enhance medication adherence through regular check-ins to address concerns, side effects, and the importance of consistent use.
- Engage in community outreach efforts to raise awareness about PrEP.
- Collaborate with community organizations to increase PrEP awareness and accessibility.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Respond promptly to any issues or crises related to PrEP use, connecting clients with appropriate resources.
- Adhere to all agency policies, including but not limited to Confidentiality, Employee Handbook, Health Care Corporate Compliance Plan, Standards of Conduct, training, and other relevant policies.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in HIV prevention, sexual health, counseling, or related healthcare fields.
- Knowledge Required: Required and preferred knowledge and experiences to succeed.
Skills
- Effective use of motivational interviewing when working with clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively educate and engage clients.
- Awareness and sensitivity to LGBTQ+ health issues and diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborative approach in working within a healthcare team and with community partners.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing healthcare environments and client needs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle documentation and reporting requirements.
- Ability to address PrEP initiation, adherence, and community outreach challenges.
- Additional Preferred Qualifications: HIV experience in a not-for-profit environment, Bilingual.

Pay
$24/hourly - $25/hourly (Depending on Experience)
