About the role
Blount Fine Foods is a family-owned and operated manufacturer, marketer, and developer of premium fresh prepared foods. We bring restaurant-quality products to America, including single-serve grab-n-go fresh soups, mac & cheese, and entrées in grocery stores, as well as for hot bars and restaurants. We create food experiences with specialty certifications such as organic, gluten-free, and low sodium.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and verify ingredients to ensure accurate processing of manufacturing ingredients during the designated shift.
- Prep recipe ingredient verification and accurately document ingredients and lot numbers to ensure inventory accuracy and material allocation.
- Ensure each line has appropriate recipes in queue and safely transport all ingredients from prep.
- Communicate with production leadership and stay up to date with production schedule productivity.
- Communicate with supervisor regarding wrong or missing ingredients and/or prep delays.
- Verify departmental HACCP, GMP, and Allergen guidelines are followed and ensure ingredient integrity to minimize/eliminate foreign material introduction.
- Safely operate manual and/or electric pallet jacks (Plant Certification required).
- Organize and maintain staging areas so recipes are grouped together and easy to find.
- Prep ingredients as needed.
- Attend training related to job description.
- Train new staff within the department as needed.
- Perform other responsibilities with similar skill and work conditions as assigned.
Requirements
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Basic mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English required.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
Pay
$18.00 to $18.45 per hour.
Schedule
Second shift, 3:00 PM – 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with an additional shift differential of $1.00 per hour. Weekend work may be required based on operational needs. This is a full-time employment opportunity.
