Responsibilities

• Properly prepare and cook all food items in a safe, timely, organized manner while maintaining high quality.
• Produce food from standardized recipes.
• Prepare, portion, and cook food accordingly.
• Ensure stations are prepared to meet anticipated levels of business for the day and assist fellow staff when needed.
• Accomplish daily cleaning duties efficiently while following sanitation guidelines.
• Handle high volume cooking and plating while maintaining consistent food quality in a fast-paced environment.
• Work hands-on with kitchen personnel to ensure high food quality, timely service, proper food handling, and a safe, sanitary kitchen.
• Follow all appropriate procedures and work under the supervision of the culinary management team.
• Abide by company and department-specific appearance standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed

• Ability to work in smoke-filled environments.
• Must be RAMP and Serv-Safe certified or complete RAMP and Serv-Safe certification during company training.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Capable of standing and moving about the kitchen in a safe and efficient manner.
• Proficient in handling food, objects, products, and utensils.

Must-Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience in food service preferred.

Physical Requirements

• 24/7 operation requiring extended hours and flexibility to meet scheduling needs.
• Ability to move about a casino over 100,000 square feet with a sense of urgency.
• Handling, carrying, or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work in a smoke-filled environment.
• Capable of standing for long periods without sitting or leaning.
• Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms.
• Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
• Must use stairs (31 steps) multiple times per day and elevators.

Working Conditions

• 24/7 high-energy casino with over 100,000 sq. ft. of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 500 employees.
• Exposure to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• Occasional work in environments where smoking is allowed.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check required if offered a position.
