Duties
- Keeping the kitchen clean and orderly
- Ensuring all ingredients are in stock for the Chef to complete their menu
- Washing cutlery and dishes
- Parboiling foods, allowing the Chef to prepare the menu more efficiently
- Seasoning and preparing the necessary ingredients for cooking
- Preparing some dishes such as salads or other less complex menu items
- Setting out all the Chef’s ingredients before each shift and refill as necessary
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Additional job duties as assigned by Sous Chef.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
- Obtain and retain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
- Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
Education And Experience
- Must possess basic culinary knowledge with the ability to follow directions and the desire to advance into a skilled cooking position.
- Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Virginia Racing Commission License
