Prep Cook Full Time

The Bristal Assisted Living at Lynbrook is seeking a talented, creative, and experienced Cook to join our Food Services team. In this role, you will assist with the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of meals for residents and employees in our luxury assisted living community. Your contribution is essential to making life special and enjoyable for our residents each day. Responsibilities

• Prepare food for the next meal service, including chopping, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to established recipes.
• Ensure all procedures follow required health department and company regulations.
• Check all food temperatures prior to meal service.
• Garnish all plates before they leave the kitchen area.
• Assist with other kitchen functions as necessary, including dishwashing, utilities, line cook, and prep cook duties.

Requirements

• Experience in a busy kitchen or food preparation area.
• Experience working in a restaurant, catering facility, hospital, hospitality, healthcare, or similar food services industry is a plus.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in understanding and following instructions in English with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies, and sanitary standards established by management.
