Prep Cook/Driver

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or directs the preparation of food to be served.
• Ensures the restaurant complies with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and follows established food production programs and procedures.
• Uses facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste and fraud.
• Loves food and works well with it.
• Drives vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Pack and deliver items for Fresh Vibes Market, Mobile Pantry, and other programs.
• Provides timely deliveries as required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.

Requirements

• Demonstrated 2+ years of restaurant cooking experience.
• 23 years previous driving/warehouse experience preferred.
• Outstanding verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Strong knife skills.
• Flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands.
• Lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Driver's License with delivery driving experience a plus.
• Clean DMV printout.
• Good understanding of the metropolitan area and able to navigate routes.
