Responsibilities
- Prepares and serves food in an attractive manner
- Works in the dish pit and busing/cleaning tables
- Uses excellent communication skills to work positively with different populations and build rapport with clients
- Ensures a safe and healthy environment exists for patrons
- Communicates clearly and specifically with Food Service & Events Manager and Kitchen Supervisor
- Strictly adheres to prescribed standardized recipes and kitchen procedures
- Diligently works at given tasks and offers help to others when needed
- Maintains good personal hygiene
- Performs given duties at special meal functions
- Relates successfully with peers, children, and public
- Fulfills all necessary health requirements and dress code
- Gives advance notice to supervisors if unable to work scheduled shifts
- Maintains any required certifications
- Works evening and weekend hours to assist with special programming and events
Qualifications
- Preferred 2 years of professional cooking experience
- Preferred proficiency with knife skills such as dice, chop, and julienne
- A person of good character
- Able to follow directions
- Willing to work a variety of schedules as needed
- Able to work well with others
