General Description
The Prep Cook will adhere to strict recipe standards, ensuring safe food handling, cleanliness, and sanitation throughout the shift. Duties include preparing food according to recipes, washing and slicing vegetables and meats, and labeling and stocking food products.
Responsibilities
- Follow prep list created by Kitchen Manager
- Prepare ingredients by accurately measuring and following mixing methods
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as sautéing vegetables and boiling soups
- Label and stock all food products for proper rotation
- Understand and comply with sanitation and cleanliness standards and procedures
- Perform other related duties as requested
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety, and hygiene
- Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances
- Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation
- Able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs
Schedule/Compensation
- Part-time/Full-time/Hourly
- 10-40 hours weekly
- $16-18/Hour starting, D.O.Q.
- Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
