Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients prior to service by washing, chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning according to standardized recipes
- Follow prep lists created by the kitchen leadership team to ensure all stations are fully stocked before service begins
- Properly label, date, and store all prepped items in accordance with food safety and rotation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area at all times
- Assist line cooks during service as directed by kitchen leadership
- Monitor and communicate inventory levels, alerting management when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow all health code requirements, sanitation procedures, and company policies at all times
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Support the overall kitchen team with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or professional kitchen preferred
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Ability to follow written recipes and prep lists accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-first environment
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Passion for food, hospitality, and continuous learning
