Prep Cook

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team, communicating clearly and constructively
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized station, clean as you go
• Count all prepped items checking for quality and proper rotation
• Measure and assemble all ingredients and cook items according to specs
• Prep assigned items following specs and according to prep list
• Label, date, rotate and store all prepped items properly using FIFO (first in, first out)
• Return bulk items to walk-cooler as you are prepping to keep food out of danger zone
• Proper knowledge of operating each piece of equipment
• Understand and adhere to all safety, sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards
• Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to Kitchen Management
• Handle kitchen equipment carefully to avoid breakage
• Track any waste

Requirements

• Weekends and holiday availability is required for this position
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Able to tolerate heat, walk-in coolers, lift/maneuver boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, and stand/walk on hard surfaces for 10-12 hours per day
• Able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe
• Able to tolerate sanitizing chemicals
