Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for hot and cold entrees, appetizers, sauces, salads and desserts, following preparation sheets and provided recipes for dining venues, health care center, and special functions.
- Perform food preparation using proper food handling methods and equipment. Utilize techniques which comply with safety and sanitation rules and practices.
- Complete required food temperature checks.
- Taste all prepared food items.
- Performance preparation in advance for future meal services and items as directed.
- Complete preparation records and stores food items properly at close of meal service.
- Maintain accurate preparation records and properly store food items at the end of the meal service.
- Clean the work area and equipment in accordance with RiverMead standards.
- Perform other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill out mission, and abide by our organizations values.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of six months of experience serving and/or in food service is required; previous cooking experience is preferred.
- Must be self-directed and dependable.
- Must be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude!
