About the role
As a prep cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and assembling dishes in accordance with recipes and food safety guidelines.Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and food safety guidelines.
- Ensure all food items are cooked to the correct temperature and appearance.
- Follow proper sanitation procedures to maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist in maintaining high standards of quality and presentation of dishes.
- Support kitchen staff in meal preparation and cleanup duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to learn and adhere to food safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
