About the role
As a Prep Cook at Olive Garden in Huntington – Barboursville, WV, you will play a crucial part in preparing and cooking various dishes that contribute to the authentic Italian dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook soups, sauces, pastas, and lasagnas according to recipes and guidelines.
- Ensure all food items are prepared safely and hygienically.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Help maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Support kitchen staff in meal preparation and service.
Requirements
- A strong passion for Italian cuisine and a commitment to food safety.
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
