Duties & Responsibilities
- Review the Daily Prep List at the start of each shift and knock out assigned tasks
- Prep proteins, veggies, sauces, and more—always following our recipe standards
- Portion ingredients ahead of service to keep the line moving fast and smooth
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly (broilers, fryers, grills, ovens, and more)
- Keep your station clean, organized, and up to health code at all times
- Label, rotate, and store ingredients properly
- Alert the Kitchen Manager to product shortages or equipment issues ASAP
- Attend team meetings and bring fresh ideas to the table
- Be ready to jump in and help out wherever needed
- Own your station, own your product, and always keep quality top of mind
- Be a brand ambassador—everything you do should reflect the Taco Reho vibe
Qualifications
- 1-3 years full-service restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary degree preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Must possess strong understanding of cooking methods & procedures, and knife handling skills
- Able to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Able to read & follow cooking directions and other instructions pertaining to the position
- Able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Basic written & verbal communication skills
- Must be organized with a self-starter & motivated work ethic
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and carry heavy materials up to 50lbs
