Knight’s Steakhouse in Ann Arbor is hiring a Prep Cook.
About the Role
Join our kitchen team in preparing high-quality ingredients and supporting our culinary operations.
Responsibilities
- Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients
- Portion and prepare meats, seafood, and poultry according to recipes
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Assist chefs with mise en place and basic cooking tasks
- Follow food safety and storage procedures
- Receive and organize deliveries
- Rotate stock and label ingredients with dates
Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen tools
- Reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- U.S. citizenship or work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or prep cook experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food handler’s certification (ServSafe or equivalent)
