Prep Cook

About the role

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe offers full‑ or part‑time prep cook positions with morning/daytime availability. The bakery is closed every Sunday, as well as on Thanksgiving and Christmas each year, providing regular days off. Competitive hourly wage is offered, and there are clear career growth paths including restaurant leadership, retail management, and specialization in pastry and bread baking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meal items accurately per specification.
• Work quickly and confidently with a “can do” attitude.
• Multitask and learn from mistakes.
• Proactively look for opportunities to assist other departments.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal food‑handler and sanitation standards.
• Perform essential job functions requiring continuous standing and walking; limited sitting opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have morning/daytime availability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of kitchen or work experience (preferred but not required; willing to train the right person).

Skills

• Positive, “can do” attitude.
• Ability to work quickly and confidently.
• Strong multitasking skills.
• Willingness to learn from mistakes and help teammates.

Schedule
