Hours

Hours Available: 1st shift, Full-time: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Every other weekend rotation, Float between Independent Living and Healthcare Center, 1075 E Victory Drive, Lindenhurst, IL 60046

Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for storing, cooking, and helping to prepare nutritious high-quality food and a superb dining experience for residents at the community.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities

• Aid in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as per recipes.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
• Avoid food waste and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Prepare meats for storage and portion control upon delivery; ensure proper handling, storage and labeling of all delivered foods and ingredients.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, safe, and sanitary kitchen.
• Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Licenses/Certifications: ServSafe certification
• Experience: 1+ years of kitchen experience

Pay

Min USD $16.00/Hr. Max USD $21.50/Hr.
