Prep Cook

Location: Lantern Hill by Erickson Senior Living, New Providence, New Jersey – a 20-acre continuing-care retirement community.

About the role

Join our team as a Prep Cook if you’re passionate about food and teamwork. You will contribute to our Signature Dining Programs, engaging in à la minute cooking and creating chef-inspired dishes while working with a dedicated team in state-of-the-art kitchens and using top-notch equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the consistent preparation of all food items according to proper safety and cooking techniques.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen and work station.
• Use your culinary talents to prepare and assemble high-quality menu items that drive resident satisfaction.

Requirements

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, from hot kitchens to cold refrigerators and freezers.

Pay

$16.50 - $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Part-time evenings (out by 9 pm). Weekends and holidays are required.
