Prep Cook

About the role

The Prep Cook is responsible for safely preparing food items, following menu specifications and standard recipes, and for service to guests in all outlets as dictated by the kitchen Leadership Team.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Create and ensure a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
• Prepares food as directed by the Chef or Shift Leader to the specifications of recipes and standards.
• Follows standardized recipes and/or presentation procedures to specific detail.
• Aid in preparation of all pantry and hot line items for daily service.
• Properly stores and labels all food products.
• Able to perform related duties in any or for station or outlet assigned.
• Assists with daily specials.
• Maintains industry standards for preparation, serving, and storing of food.
• Ensures that the working area is clean and sanitary in accordance with Local, State, and Federal Health Department codes.
• Promotes outstanding guest relations.
• Promotes honesty and trust among the team.
• Performs all other duties assigned.

• Demonstrated ability in handling banquets and food outlet effectiveness.
• Constant communication with BOH Team Members.
• Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Black non-slip shoes required.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalence.
• One to two years of related experience preferred.
• Must be able to complete any classes or certifications required.
• Able to obtain a valid Racing License.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Subjected to moderate to loud noise levels.
• Circulates throughout assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and functioning of machines.
