About the Role
Walt's Wharf Restaurant is seeking a full-time Prep Cook to join our team in Seal Beach, CA.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion seafood ingredients according to restaurant standards and recipes
- Assist in the preparation of vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients needed for daily service 0
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and storage areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Support the kitchen team in completing prep tasks efficiently to meet service demands
- Ensure all ingredients are stored properly and rotated according to safety standards
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a prep cook or line cook role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
- Knowledge of seafood handling and preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
