Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain the workstation, ensuring everything is well-stocked, orderly, and clean
- Prepare ingredients for established dishes, such as chopping vegetables and cutting meat
- Cook ingredients as directed by the head chef or sous chef, plating dishes as indicated by recipes
- Adhere to all health and safety standards when preparing food
- Provide assistance to the head chef or sous chef as directed
Requirements
- [2+] years experience as a Line Cook
- High school diploma required; culinary certificate or degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of best restaurant practices and cooking methods, including safe knife-handling skills
- Superb attention to detail while being able to work quickly and efficiently
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills while working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a motivated team player
