Prep Cook 40 hour TEMPORARY

• Store food in specific containers and storage areas in order to prevent spoilage
• Prepare a variety of dishes according to supervisors’ instructions and follow approved procedures
• Pack hot meals daily to be delivered each morning
• Package cold meals for next day's service
• Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service during meal service, or store them in refrigerators
• Check supplies and inform supervisor when supplies are getting low or any equipment is not working
• Follow assigned recipes
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as required, and provide cooks with needed items
• Stock shelves and refrigerators and put away deliveries
• Use manual and/or electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods

Education and Qualifications

• Should have at least one year experience in direct food service operation
• Hands-on experience a must
