As a Prep Baker and customer service rep (Front of house), you will be responsible for preparing a variety of ingredients and key baked goods that assist our bakers in preparing final products for our front case daily, along with assisting with cleaning tasks. As a dual role you will also assist our front-of-house team from time to time to help fill gaps in the schedule. Your time management and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the quality, taste, and presentation of our products meet our customers’ expectations. Prep-Baker Duties Prepare and bake a wide range of key goods some of which include:Preparing cheesecake crustsBaking tart shellsWrapping goods ready to go out for saleBaking cookiesPackaging and cutting cakesPreparing frostings and more!Ensure all baked goods are made following recipes with precise measurementsWork closely with our current team to manage all weekly inventoryAssist our team with cleaning and doing dishesMonitor oven temperatures and baking times to produce high-quality productsMaintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipmentCollaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate baking schedules with other food preparation activitiesProvide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and fulfilling orders in a timely mannerAssisting with the daily back of house cleaning task checklist Front Of House Duties You might be asked to work solo during certain shifts or with other front of house team membersTasks could include some of the following:Packaging and cutting cakes for the front caseStocking the front case as it empty’s or sells out of itemsMaking and serving lattes and drinks to customers as they orderPreparing and delivering goods to customers as they orderRunning the front register and taking paymentCleaning the front of house dining area and assisting with the daily front of house cleaning task checklist Qualifications Proven experience working as a Baker in a restaurant and/or at home bakery settingKnowledge of pastry techniques, cake decorating, and food production processes is a bonusAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environmentExcellent attention to detail and precision in measuring ingredientsGreat time management skills and task orientedProficient in using kitchen tools and equipment such as ovens, mixers, and knives If you are passionate about baking delicious treats and have an attention to detail while being task-oriented, then we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
