- Optimize component performance and bundle size for production environments
- Maintain and extend design tokens (CSS variables) to ensure coded components remain in sync with Figma design specifications
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to team members
- Drive technical decision-making for component architecture and implementation patterns
- Serve as a subject matter expert for engineering teams integrating with the design system
- Collaborate with UX architects, product designers, and QA engineers to ensure components meet our design and engineering standards
- Monitor integration support channels and provide timely technical assistance
- Create and maintain comprehensive component documentation, including usage guidelines, API specifications, and integration examples
- Proactively gather feedback from consuming teams and iterate on components to improve developer experience
- Document patterns and best practices to enhance the overall developer experience
- Provide short demos showcasing your work and new component capabilities
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and quality assurance
- Participate in scrum ceremonies, team planning sessions, and roadmap reviews to ensure team alignment on short and long-term goals
- Support multiple initiatives by providing essential UI components and UX patterns
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on design system best practices
