Preop Registered Nurse PRN

Join our team as a PreOp Registered Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center at Central Utah Surgical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of healthcare services. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients while exhibiting the values of HCA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients’ care area adequately before case
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for patients’ procedure
• Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of patients’ history and diagnostic tests
• Review patients’ charts for completeness prior to surgery
• Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
• Monitor patients until transferred to the OR

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher degree in Nursing
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery
• Active RN license as required by state of employment
• BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)
• ACLS required within 30-days of hire
• PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
