PREOP/PACU RN - EA AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER

Position Summary

Plans, organizes, manages, and evaluates the care of patients in the perioperative setting. Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, quality patient and family centered care. Facilitates patient flow and ensures the provision of high quality patient care. Integrates knowledge, skill and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care to include necessary preoperative and postoperative education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols and pathways for care delivery. Incorporates quality data and information into daily processes to continuously enhance outcomes.

Position Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of Perioperative experience
• Required: ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire, BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer, Registered Nursing License
• Preferred: Perioperative experience to include a multispecialty case mix of patients served. Endoscopy, Orthopaedic, ENT, Opthalmology, General, Urology, and Plastic Surgery experience preferred
• Preferred: 3-5 years medical-surgical nursing experience
