About The Role

The Premium Suite Runner is responsible for serving guests in the suites. The role requires a personable individual who can work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00-$15.00 and is tip eligible.

About The Venue

The Rio Rancho Events Center (RREC), located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, is a 7,000-seat multi-purpose facility that opened in October 2006. The RREC leads among venues in New Mexico and is home to the New Mexico Runners Major Arena Soccer League team. With 165,000 square feet of extended floor space, the Rio Rancho Events Center hosts concerts, sporting events, family shows, conferences, banquets, and cultural programs. The arena features a single concourse, 27 suites, 4 party suites, and a large club lounge for dinners and parties. The venue is owned by the City of Rio Rancho and managed by Oak View Group (OVG).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup of food service areas within specific suites and club areas based upon pre-orders.
  • Support the Suite Attendant in all assigned suites that are set prior to the event based on communication received of orders.
  • Prepare events in assigned locations and assist the suite attendant.
  • Set up equipment once orders are placed.
  • Deliver orders to the correct suite.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, upholding safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive atmosphere for team members and guests.
  • Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control and product requisition fulfillment.
  • Maintain full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments.
  • Ensure suites have all necessary serving ware.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
  • Assure that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of the event.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Prior food and beverage experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with all associates, management, and stadium departments.
  • Excellent guest service skills and ability to adhere to Service Standards.
  • Ability to complete all required training sessions.
  • Ability to work accurately, courteously, and with a sense of urgency in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to follow job procedures and supervisor instructions.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry heavy objects.
  • Ability to frequently walk long distances while pulling/pushing a cart, hot box, or speed rack.
  • May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold, depending on the season.
  • May be exposed to large crowds and confined areas.
  • Frequently working in a window-less environment.
