Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, Workers Compensation Division, is seeking a Premium Audit Analyst in Omaha, NE. The position involves engaging in job training to understand classification codes and premium audit manual rules for a single jurisdiction, focusing initially on small policies.
Responsibilities
- Successfully demonstrates understanding of foundational audit concepts and uses company software to summarize audit findings.
- Reviews documentation and communicates with policyholders and agents to gather necessary information and identify discrepancies.
- Creates basic worksheets to verify final audited payroll and contacts stakeholders regarding unusual items.
- Conducts research on applicable Bureau websites and calls centers as needed to complete the final audit.
- Works with Underwriting to ensure correct application of classification codes and processes final audit and revised transactions.
- Provides basic summaries and answers inquiries regarding the premium audit process and standard Finance workflows.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Some transferrable premium audit experience or sufficient combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and able to be proficient on applicable databases, systems, and vendor software programs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to interpret bar graphs and provide basic summaries of audit findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, or Accounting from four-year college or university.
