Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is the premier destination for world-class motorsports and entertainment in the United States. Set on 1,500 acres in the rolling hills just outside Downtown Austin, COTA has hosted the biggest names in racing, action sports, and music since 2012. At its heart is a 3.41-mile racetrack designed to challenge competitors while providing a thrilling spectacle for audiences. COTA is the only purpose-built facility in the U.S. designed to host premier motorsports championships, including Formula 1, MotoGP, and NASCAR.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for all grandstand and premium products across multiple events, including the F1 U.S. Grand Prix, MotoGP, Germania Insurance Amphitheater concerts, and more.
  • Contribute to new trend-setting sales programs, including bespoke travel and entertainment packages and exclusive track memberships for COTA.
  • Create and develop new business by regularly prospecting potential clients and pitching products through virtual presentations, external appointments, phone prospecting, social selling, and events.
  • Sell to C-level executives and key decision-makers of corporations and high-net-worth individuals via outbound sales calls, face-to-face appointments, and presentations.
  • Effectively follow up with customers and prospective customers to build relationships, drive business, and meet excellent customer service requirements.
  • Handle incoming sales calls from prospective clients for all premium products and consult on available offerings.
  • Contribute positively to a competitive sales team culture and participate in sales team meetings and training sessions.
  • Regularly produce accurate updates on prospecting activity, sales performance, outside appointments, and event recaps.
  • Provide superior service for all premium and hospitality accounts.
  • Attend outside events for selling, networking, gathering leads, and prospecting.

Requirements

  • Some experience working in a customer-facing or sales-focused environment, such as retail, hospitality, service roles, or internships.
  • Track record of achieving and surpassing sales goals.
  • 1+ years of professional sales experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, or hospitality (preferred but not required).
  • History as a positive team player within an organization.
  • Proven intentionality of continued learning and openness to try new things.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Pay

The range for this role is $21.63 - $26.44 an hour with $30,000 - $50,000+ in potential commission. This is the lowest to highest range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

Schedule

  • Full-time, non-exempt position.
  • Primarily office-based at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas.
  • Minimal travel may be required for special events or out-of-office appointments.
  • Schedule can include evenings, weekends, holidays, major event weekends, and other key events as directed by leadership.
