About the role
Premier North West Kent consultancy is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join its well‑established 25‑strong satellite office of a Top 20 consultancy. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse mixture of new‑build and refurbishment projects with values up to £75 million across commercial, residential, leisure and education sectors, and provides a clear pathway for career progression within a large owner‑managed consultancy.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering design on both new‑build and refurbishment projects.
- Manage project delivery from concept through to completion, ensuring technical excellence.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and client representatives.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the office.
- Maintain responsibility for projects with values up to £75 million.
Requirements
- Chartered (or near‑Chartered) Member of IStructE and/or ICE.
- Extensive structural engineering design and project‑running experience gained in UK consultancy.
- Strong technical capability and a desire to progress within a large consultancy.
- Ability to handle a varied portfolio across commercial, residential, leisure and education sectors.
