About the role
The Premier Banker role is dedicated to servicing complex client portfolios of mass affluent clients. This role focuses on growing, deepening, and retaining these clients' banking relationships through proactive outreach and advice-based approaches.
Responsibilities
- Manage and address banking needs of mass affluent clients through proactive outreach and needs-based conversations.
- Convert referrals, leads, and prospects to deepen and retain client relationships.
- Engage in client outreach via phone, email, appointments, and other means to meet with clients regularly.
- Review and analyze financial information, suggest appropriate solutions, and coordinate introductions/interactions with appropriate partners.
- Provide excellent client service, escalate banking issues/risks when necessary, and adhere to policies and procedures.
- Facilitate loan application intake and maintain an active NMLS registration status.
- Partner with Wealth Financial Advisors for warm referrals and joint pipeline review meetings.
- Coach bank staff on articulating the Premier program's value and making Premier referrals.
- Understand and comply with regulations, policies, and procedures, and implement the Client Identification Program (CIP).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 2+ years financial/banking experience
- Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) completion preferred
- Licensed in Life and Health preferred
- Experience with retail and small business banking
- Understanding and experience with TD Bank & TD Wealth Policies and Procedures
Qualifications
- Consultative sales experience required
- Customer service skills to perform routine and multi-step transactions
- Ability to establish and nurture client relationships through proactive outreach and ongoing engagement
- Knowledge of current promotions and campaigns to make banking easier for clients
- Understanding and support of the Bank's Customer Service Strategy
- Ability to deliver client end-to-end advice, build trust with educational content, and provide proactive insights and recommendations
- Ability to consider the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its clients, and stakeholders
- Ability to work as a single point of contact for clients, connecting them with partners as needed

- Proficiency in banking and credit products, offerings, and processes
- Ability to act as an experienced liaison with internal partners in small business, wealth, commercial, and lending areas
- Strong relationship-building and selling skills

$25.75 - $38.50 USD per hour, commensurate with experience.
