Prem Audit Technician II - Commercial Lines
About the role
This role supports the premium audit function focused on the completion of final audits for commercial lines of business for customers across the United States. The primary responsibility involves evaluating moderately complex voluntary audits to determine accurate classification and policy provisions for calculating final earned premium.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates moderately complex voluntary audits for commercial lines to determine accurate classification and policy provisions to calculate final earned premium.
- Maintains quality standards while meeting or exceeding production targets.
- Communicates with insureds and agents to discuss records and operations, clarifying and validating existing and new operations that affect the underwriting of the risk.
- Calculates and bills final policy premium after audit review; reconciles results and escalates issues as necessary.
- Utilizes business knowledge to respond to questions regarding risk classification, class codes, and state rules and regulations.
- Works with premium audit supervisor and peer audit team to analyze and conclude final audits.
Requirements
- High School Diploma; Associate Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
- Working knowledge of PC software applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of meeting and adapting to deadlines and workload fluctuations.
- Excellent customer engagement and service skills.
- Great judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Analytical skills to effectively interpret manual rules and audit information.
- Basic aptitude for mathematics, accounting, and financial documents beneficial.
Qualifications
