About the role
The position assists in supervision and delivery in the District Design Section. The incumbent provides engineering expertise and supervision for the delivery of highway construction/transportation plans and documentation to ensure compliance with MnDOT standards and policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage transportation projects
- Apply engineering principles, practices, techniques and methods
- Coordinate and/or direct the work of staff and/or consultants
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to transportation design personnel
- Use OpenRoads Designer, Corridor Modeling and other design/project management software
- Knowledge of scoping documents, environmental documentation, design concepts, geometric layouts, construction, plan content and organization
Requirements
- Licensure as a professional Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID)
- Experience managing transportation projects
- Experience applying engineering principles, practices, techniques and methods
- Experience coordinating and/or directing the work of staff and/or consultants

Pay
- Engineer Senior: $39.06 - $57.47 / hourly; $81,557 - $119,997 / annually
- Engineer 2 Graduate: $32.13 - $47.49 / hourly; $67,087 - $99,159 / annually
