PREK TEACHER

About This Role

The Shiny Penny Child Care Center in Chattanooga, TN is hiring a PREK TEACHER to support operations at a mission-driven early childhood education organization. This role offers $13 – $14/Hr and requires no formal credential — just relevant experience.

What You'll Do

• Facilitating engaging learning activities for the children.
• Supervising snack time and outside play, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all.
• Effectively communicating with co-workers and parents.
• Light cleaning in the classroom at the end of the day.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the children.

Requirements

• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
• Minimum age: 18 yrs.
• Proof of high school completion
• Experience working with young children.
• Provide verifiable references.
• Able to stand on feet for a period of time, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• A strong understanding of child development and the willingness to complete required on-line training, at no cost.
• High school diploma is required
