About the role
Hutchinson Public Schools seeks a Teacher Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in classroom activities
- Support students' learning needs
- Supervise students during breaks and transitions
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Possession of a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent State-awarded certificate
- Enrolled in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field
- Willingness to enroll in a CDA credential program within 90 days of hire, to be completed within two years of the date of hire
- One to three months related experience and/or training in early childhood education preferred
Qualifications
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of an interdisciplinary team
