Preconstruction Manager (Commercial Construction)

Company Description Job Description Overview: We are seeking experienced Preconstruction Managers to support our growing teams in Asheville and Winston-Salem. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in commercial construction preconstruction, with experience bridging estimating, client communication, and operations coordination. Requirements: Proven experience in commercial construction preconstruction managementPreference for candidates with prior operations experienceExperience managing both estimating responsibilities and client-facing deliverablesAbility to work closely with Operations teams throughout the preconstruction processStrong understanding of Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) and Design-Build delivery models Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the preconstruction process from initial planning through project handoffDevelop estimates, budgets, schedules, and client presentationsCollaborate with operations teams to ensure constructability and successful project executionPartner with owners, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders throughout the preconstruction phaseSupport accurate project planning and risk identification Preferred Qualifications: Strong estimating background with client-facing experienceExperience working on commercial construction projectsAbility to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partnersExperience supporting CMAR and Design-Build projects Ideal Candidate: A hands-on Preconstruction Manager who can combine estimating expertise, operational understanding, and strong client communication skills. This role is focused on managing the preconstruction process and delivering successful project outcomes rather than managing a large team of managers.
